This Privacy Policy explains how Weixin Zhang (“we”, “us”, or “Mouse4”) handles information when you visit the Mouse4 website, use the Windows application, contact support, or purchase a Lifetime License.
1. Information we handle
Website and support
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, purchase details, and the contents of your message. Our website does not use an analytics or advertising SDK.
Purchases and licensing
To confirm a payment and provide licensing support, we may process your purchase email, payment reference, license status, activation timestamps, and a device identifier supplied by the application. We do not collect full payment-card numbers.
Screen captures
Mouse4 is designed to process screenshots locally on your Windows device. We do not upload or collect the image content of your screen captures through the application.
2. How we use information
- to provide the trial, license claim, activation, and support services;
- to prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised license use;
- to maintain security, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability; and
- to meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
3. What we do not collect by default
The first release does not include an analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Mouse4 does not require an account or login. If we later add optional telemetry or crash reporting, we will update this policy before enabling it.
4. Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the license service and its database. GitHub Pages hosts this website. Wise and PayPal process payments under their own terms and privacy notices.
5. Retention and security
We keep purchase, license, and support records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use access controls and service-provider security measures, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
6. International processing
Mouse4 is operated from China and serves customers internationally. Information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing.
